Our hugely-popular School Tours, which can be customised to suit any secondary school year from 1st to 6th Years, are brought to you by the guys who run HELL & BACK, and are all about the outdoors, fresh air and nature – essentially it’s back to basics for your students, free form their mobiles and devices!

Plus, we're fully aware that not everyone wants to take part in the physical runs and challenges - so we've got packages that are inclusive for all your students, whatever additional needs some may have, including Archery, Ireland's first Outdoor Escape Room and Team Building Games.

Inclusivity is Central to Everything we do!
At Alive Outside, we’re working very hard to make sure we provide activities that are suitable for everyone. We want every secondary school student that visits our Adventure Centre to have the same opportunity to participate to the best of their ability and desire, and so are working with Hannah Bryson, an Accessibility Consultant, to improve our School Tour packages and make them even more inclusive.
We also know that not every student will want to take part in a mainstream activity with the rest of their class. So, to involve those who may be less physical or sporty, we can provide fully inclusive activities that cater for all.

Option 1: HELL & BACK
Obstacle Challenge

3 Hour Package (usually from 10:00 to 13:00)
Under the guidance of your Instructor, you'll be taken on a unique and fun 5-8KM adventure around the infamous HELL & BACK course. Everyone must work together to go over, under, around and through over 60 obstacles from HELL & BACK and Ireland’s Fittest Family TV show, including Heartbreak Ridge, Satan’s Pit, Hell on Earth and finishing on the world-renowned Halfpipe Ramp for a unique group photograph.

Option 2: Zone Challenge

6 Zones = 3 Hr Package (usually from 10:00 to 13:00)
8 Zones = 3 Hr 50 Min Package (usually from 10:00 to 13:50)
We've devised this new mental, physical and team building package for 2024, which is suitable for all fitness levels, where students take part in a series of fun challenges that develop their teamwork and communication skills. Try up to 8 exciting zones, including Catapult, Archery, Bushcraft Outdoor Survival Skills and Laser Tag, that highlight the importance of working together, creative problem solving and communication - all while having lots of belly laughs along the way!

Our School Tours are suitable for all secondary school students, whether they are 1st Years, TYs or Leaving Certs - but we tailor the package slightly, depending on the age group (from 12 to 18)!

WHAT TO PACK
We will email you a few days before your School Tour with full details of what each student should bring with them, including a packed lunch plus a change of clothes and footwear in case they get wet.
Our outdoor actitivies are designed for all types of Irish weather - but, don't worry, we do have back-up plans in case the rain is torrential!
